3 security men among 18 hurt in Srinagar grenade attack

Srinagar (NVI): At least 3 SSB personnel and 15 civilians were injured, three of them seriously, after terrorists lobbed grenade in the market area of Srinagar near Hari Singh High street on November 4, said Jammu and Kashmir police.

One non-Kashmiri, Rinku Singh from Saharanpur succumbed serious injuries along with two locals Aijaj and Fayaz Ahmed in the grenade attack said police.

However, the police and security forces are taking follow up action.

This is another incident reported in a week after five non-Kashmiri labourers were shot dead by the terrorists, ahead of a visit of a delegation of Members of European Parliament (MEPs) on Oct 29.

On October 26, six security personnel were injured after an attack was launched on them in Kakasarai area of Karan Nagar in Srinagar.
