10 Pakistani military men killed in 2 attacks: TTP

Peshawar: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) tonight said it killed 10 personnel of Pakistani military and injured more than 2 in 2 attacks during the day.

In a major strike in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the TTP exploded a landmine, targeting a vehicle of the Pakistan Army in Malakdin area of Bara Tehsil in Peshawar this afternoon.

At least, 8 military personnel, including a Subedar were killed, and 2 were injured in the blast that completely destroyed the vehicle, TTP spokesman Muhammad Khurasani said.

In another strike at 5:38 PM (Pakistan time), a sniper attack was carried out on a check post of the Pakistan Army in Tehsil Tiarza, Dera Ismail Khan in South Waziristan by Mujahideen of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Khurasani said.

Two security personnel were killed and others were injured in this attack, he added.

A spy camera of the army was also destroyed in this operation, the TTP spokesman said.
