Rajouri, Aug 17 (NVI) At least 11 people were injured and one person was killed in a road accident on the Rajouri-Poonch highway in Rajouri district on Monday, officials said.
The accident occurred in the Tandwal area, following which a rescue operation was launched and the injured were evacuated to a nearby hospital for treatment, they said.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the hospital, while further details about their condition are awaited.
One person was killed in the accident, though the identity of the deceased was not immediately ascertained.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated further proceedings, officials said.(NVI)
