2 terrorists of Pakistan-based outfit killed in Kashmir

Srinagar: In an intelligence-based operation, security forces in Kashmir today killed 2 terrorists of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit.

The terrorists, who had taken to the gun only about 2 months back, were cornered in Wanigam Payeen Kreeri village of Baramulla district in the early hours, police said.

A gunfight lasting a few hours resulted in the killing of the terrorists, who were later identified as locals — Shakir Majid Najar & Hanan Ahmad Seh from Shopian district, police said.

“#Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 01 AK 47 rifle and one pistol (were) recovered,” A tweet by the police said.

“Both joined terrorism in the month of March 2023. Further Investigation going on,” ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said.
