Jammu, Aug 09 (NVI): In a major success for the Jammu & Kashmir police, 33 kg Heroin worth Rs 33 Crore market value was seized from a bag at Jammu, while as one person hailing from Punjab was also arrested, ADGP Jammu Anand Jain told reporters in Jammu.
“Jammu police received a lead about a bag and a suspicious person at Jammu bus stand area. We acted very fast and seized the back and arrested one person from Punjab who was carrying the bag containing 33 Kgs of Heroine worth Rs 33 Crore,” ADGP said.
He said investigations are on as to how the person had got such a huge consignment.
“We are questioning him and more leads are expected,” the ADGP Jammu said, adding that preliminary investigations revealed that the consignment had come from a border area.(News Vibes of India)
