Srinagar (NVI): Five unidentified terrorists have been killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district, police said.

The terrorists holed up in a local mosque in Jan Mohalla of Shopian from yesterday evening.
“Authorities last night sent brother of terrorist and Imam inside to persuade the terrorists to surrender but they refused,” according to a statement.
Four Army soldiers, including an officer, sustained injuries in the encounter.
In another encounter in Tral, that started this morning, two terrorists were killed including the chief of Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) terror outfit, Imtiyaz Shah.
DG Police informed that both the ongoing operations are now over.
Terrorists in these encounters belonged to the same terror outfit, Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH).
He further stated, “7 AK and 2 pistols recovered. With these two encounters and elimination of 7 terrorists, the terrorist group AGuH (Ansar Gazwat Ul Hind) fully wiped out once again.”
