New Delhi (NVI): At least 5,133 ceasefire violations took place along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir in 2020, besides 244 terror attacks in the Union Territory, the Ministry of Home Affairs told the Parliament today.
Apart from that, 59 civilians were killed, 86 security personnel martyred and 221 terrorists killed in the UT, the MHA informed the House today.
The Ministry today provided details of ceasefire violations, terrorist attacks, civilians and security force personnel killed/injured in ceasefire violations and terrorist attacks along with the number of terrorists killed in counter-attacks during each of the last three years in J&K, in Parliament.
In addition, the MHA told the Parliament that Rs 40.20 crore was released for the modernization of Jammu and Kashmir Police.
