99 Agniveers join Indian Army in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 3 (NVI): The fourth batch of 99 Agniveers was attested in a grand ceremony at the Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regimental Centre, marking the culmination of their 31 weeks of rigorous training.
This milestone event was a testament to their determination and commitment to serving the nation.
In a statement issued to NVI, the defence spokesman in Srinagar said: “The ceremony commenced with a National Salute to the flag, followed by a formal parade and oath-taking.
In a heartwarming gesture, the proud parents of the Agniveers were presented with the ‘Gaurav Padak,’ honoring their sacrifices and support for their children’s dedication to national service.”
The spokesman said:  “This is not just an attestation, but a celebration of resilience, discipline, and the spirit of service. The Agniveers have undergone a transformative journey, ready to serve the nation with unwavering commitment and honor. Today, they stand as proud soldiers, poised to safeguard our borders and contribute to India’s security.” (News Vibes of India)
