17 killed by coronavirus in China, 543 diagnosed

New Delhi (NVI): At least 17 people have been killed by coronavirus and 543 have been diagnosed, says a report by China Global Television Network (CGTN).

444 cases have been confirmed in Hubei Province as of 8:00 pm on Wednesday, according to the Chinese government officials, reports the TV network.

Out of the 543 cases, seven are from abroad, CGTN reports, adding that at least nine deaths have taken place in Hubei.

Earlier today, China confirmed that coronavirus can be spread by humans.

The mysterious pneumonia was first reported in Wuhan City, central China’s Hubei Province, in December 2019.
