New Delhi (NVI): Many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Delhi and its adjoining areas have been recording fairly widespread rain and thundershowers.
Due to the rainfall activity, Delhi and NCR region saw a slight decrease in minimum temperature to 14 degree Celsius from 14.3 degrees Celsius recorded yesterday.
The maximum temperature today is expected to be around 22 degrees celsius, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
During the last 24 hours, heavy hailstorm activities were also observed in Jaipur. Similarly, a few parts of Haryana and Northwest Uttar Pradesh observed isolated hailstorm activities.
SkymetWeather expect these on and off rain and thunderstorm activities to continue by the late-night hours of today in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi.
Due to these ongoing rainfall activities, it expect the maximums to drop by five to six degrees at some places. A few parts of Punjab and Haryana may also observe the maximums settling somewhere below 20 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the overall air quality in the national capital today deteriorate to “satisfactory” from “poor” category.
According to System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the Air Quality Index (AQI) in the national capital stood at 69 which falls in the “satisfactory” category.
