Woman who travelled to Iran tests positive for Coronavirus in Jammu

Srinagar (NVI): A 63-year-old woman who recently returned from Iran has been tested positive for coronavirus in Jammu.

Dr Shafaqat Khan, Nodal Officer, coronavirus control Jammu and Kashmir confirmed that a one woman who returned from Iran has tested positive in Jammu.

She is a native of Ladakh but putting up in Jammu at present. She has been kept at quarnitine facility at Government Medical College Jammu.

J&K’s Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam said that the woman has contacted 19 persons who have now been put under surveillance and are being quarantined.

Meanwhile, 25 Kashmir students in Iran have been safely evacuated and and all have landed at Srinagar international airport this morning.

Officials said that all the Kashmiri students who have arrived back from Iran have underwent proper medical procedure.
