New Delhi (NVI): The total number of coronavirus cases in India has risen to 43, after four new cases of coronavirus were reported today.
Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir reported one new case each while a 3-year-old from Kerala was also tested positive for the virus with travel history to Italy.
Meanwhile, Jammu reported another case with a 63-year-old woman in Jammu who recently returned from Iran.
On Sunday, five cases of coronavirus were reported from Kerala, in which a couple and their son along with their two relatives, with travel history from Italy.
Meanwhile, in Assam, at least 400 people have been quarantined after they came in contact with an American tourist who had tested positive for the virus in Bhutan after travelling through the state recently.
AIIMS is going to be a nodal centre for COVID-19 treatment in the country. The health ministry has asked AIIMS hospital to designate part of the new emergency wing at its trauma facility. The isolation facility will have the capacity to admit about 20 patients at a given time.
Delhi High Court has also issued a public advisory today asking people to avoid unnecessary overcrowding in the court premises as a precautionary measure to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
