New Delhi (NVI): Four smart cities in the country are using integrated data dashboards to provide up-to-date information about the status of coronavirus in their different administrative zones.
Pune, Surat, Bengaluru and Tumakuru are using these dashboards, developed by the data analysts and data experts working with their ICCCs (also functioning as COVID-19 War Rooms in many cities), the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs said in a statement today.
These dashboards provide a range of information which includes the number of cases, the areas where these cases were found, buffer zones where maximum cases have been reported and also information about the overall statistics on tested, confirmed, active, recovered and death cases.
In addition to this, the dashboards also facilitate surveillance of the area where the cases have been found, so as to contain the spread of the virus.
Various technologies including heat-mapping, predictive analysis, geo-spatial information systems etc. are being used to analyse, interpret and collect this data.
