Coronavirus cases in Bangladesh reach 7,667; 5 more deaths reported

New Delhi (NVI): The total number of deaths from coronavirus continues to rise in Bangladesh as 5 more people have died in the last 24 hours, taking the total casualties in the country to 168, according to United News of Bangladesh.

Besides, a whopping 564 new cases of coronavirus infection were reported during this period, raising the number of such cases in the country to 7,667.

29 PCR labs have collected 5,626 samples and tested 4,965 of them across the country, Prof Nasima Sultana, Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.

Meanwhile, 10 more patients recovered from coronavirus, taking the total number of recovered patients to 113 in the country, according to media reports.

In addition to this, Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has urged expatriate workers not to plan to return home unless they are forced to do so.

He assured them of return of good days after the coronavirus crisis is over.
