CRPF jawan, cop among 6 injured in grenade attack in Kashmir’s Budgam

Srinagar (NVI): At least six people including four civilians, a cop and a Central Reserve Police Force jawan were injured today after militants lobbed a grenade towards a CRPF party in main market, Pakherpora area of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Officials said that a grenade was hurled towards a CRPF party of 181 Battalion in main market Pakherpora this afternoon which left six persons including four civilians, a cop and a CRPF man wounded.

The injured cop and CRPF jawan were shifted to Sub District Hospital Pakherpora while the injured civilians were referred to SMHS hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.

The injured cop was identified as the Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ghulam Rasool while the CRPF man was identified as Constable Santosh Kumar. Both received minor injuries and their condition was stated to be stable.

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off and a massive search operation has been launched to nab the attackers.
