New Delhi (NVI): The total number of positive coronavirus in Pakistan has increased by more than 1,500 cases, taking the overall tally to 44,672 with at least 958 fatalities recorded so far.
Looking at the breakdown of cases, Sindh province has reported 17,947 coronavirus cases, highest among all the provinces, while Punjab has 15,976 positive cases.
On the other hand, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 6,230 cases, Balochistan is at 2,820, Gilgit-Baltistan at 550, Islamabad at 1,034 and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is at 115 cases so far, according to Geo News.
In addition to this, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) today approved a USD 300 million emergency assistance loan to strengthen Pakistan’s public health response to the novel coronavirus and help meet the basic needs of vulnerable and poor segments of society.
Meanwhile, the first death of a healthcare worker due to coronavirus was reported at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims), according to the media reports.
