Bhubaneswar (NVI): Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief Naveen Patnaik has appointed 18 senior leaders as new office bearers of the party.
Among the newly appointed office bearers yesterday are 9 Senior Vice President, 8 Vice President and 1 General Secretary (Head Quarters), said Manas Ranjan Mangaraj, General Secretary, Media Affairs, in a press note.
The nine Senior Vice Presidents are Anang Uday Singh Deo, Prasanna Acahrya, Prasanna Kumar Patasani, Prafulla Samal, Bijayshree Routray, Lal Bihari Himrika, Ananta Das, Bimbadhar Kuanr and eight Vice Presidents are Mangala Kisan, Soumya Ranjan Patnaik, Debi Prasad Mishra, Bikram Keshari Arukh, Usha Devi, Pramila Mallik, Badri Narayan Patra, Pradip Kumar Amat, Padnav Behera.
One General Secy is Sanjay Kumar Das Burma who will be sole in charge of Head Quarters as per the press note signed by Manas Ranjan Mangaraj.
Mangala Kisan is given in charge of Tribal Empowerment & minority affairs, Soumya Ranjan Patnaik is in charge of Art, Culture & human resources, Mo Parivar initiative has been assigned to Devi Prasad Mishra, Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh will look after environment, Usha Devi will see social welfare, Pramila Mallik in charge of women empowerment, Badri Narayan Patra for regional development, Pradip Kumar Amat for Sashakta Odisha & Minister Padmanav Behera SC empowerment affairs.
Notably, for the first time since the inception of the BJD in 1997, the party has appointed senior vice-presidents as office-bearers.
