New Delhi (NVI): Karnataka Tourism Minister CT Ravi has tested positive for coronavirus. He became the first minister from the state to test positive for the virus.
In a tweet, the Minister wrote, “Yesterday, I along with my wife Pallavi and my staff members underwent Covid-19 test. Fortunately, my wife Pallavi and all my staff members are tested Negative. Third umpire’s result for me has confirmed that I’m Covid Positive. However, I’m feeling absolutely fine.”

“For now, I’ll continue to work from here and undergo treatment. Very soon, I’ll get cured and come back to work with you all,” he added.
He went into home quarantine on July 11 after he came in contact with a coronavirus infected person. His wife and his staff also took the test and tested negative.
Karnataka registered 71 Covid-19 deaths, its highest single-day toll, and 2,627 fresh cases, taking the tally of infections in the state to 38,843 while a total of 684 people have died from the pandemic, the health ministry data shows.
