New Delhi (NVI): Tamil Nadu Labour Minister Nilofer Kafeel has tested positive for coronavirus, becoming the fourth minister in the state cabinet to get affected from virus.
The minister has quarantined herself at home in Cheenai. She took part in few events in the state last week, before testing positive.
In addition, Chief Minister K Palaniswami today wished her a speedy recovery.
On his twitter handle, the Chief Minister wrote, “Hon’ble Minister of Labor Welfare Dr. Nilofer Kafeel, when heard the news of their corona infection, contacted them on the phone and inquired about their health.
“I pray to the Lord that he will soon make a full recovery and return to normal,” he added.
Minister K P Anbalagan, was the first to test Covid-19 positive in the state, was discharged from hospital. His colleagues, Sellur K Raju and P Thangamani, are still under Covid-19 treatment in hospital.
There are 1,56,369 coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu, the second worst-affected state in the country, while 2,236 have died from the virus, as per the Union Health Ministry data.
