New Delhi (NVI): At least seven people were killed and four others suffered injuries in an explosion at a fireworks factory in Tamil Nadu’s Cuddalore district today.
The incident happened at Kurungudi village in Kattumannarkoil, 190 km from state capital Chennai. The blast completely damaged the building, the officials said.
They also said the fireworks factory unit owner has also died in the explosion.
Meanwhile, police and rescue teams have been rushed to the accident site and a probe has been launched to find out what caused the explosion. More details are awaited.
