Srinagar (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir today recorded 1,013 fresh cases of deadly virus including 87 travelers taking the total number of positive cases to 44,570 in the Union Territory.
Of the total 44,570 cases, 32,152 are from Kashmir and 12,418 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 1,013 new cases, 413 belong to Kashmir division while 600 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached 32,152 including 25,520 recoveries. Total positive cases in Jammu has reached to 12,418 including 7,240 recoveries and 105 deaths.
They said that total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir is 11,009 including 5,936 from Kashmir division and 5,073 from Jammu division.
With 433 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 32,760 which is 73.50 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 136 from Srinagar, 31 from Baramulla, 40 from Pulwama, 56 from Budgam, 40 from Anantnag, 31 from Bandipora, 38 from Kupwara, 03 from Kulgam, 10 from Shopian and 28 from Ganderbal in Kashmir division while as 600 from Jammu division include 442 from Jammu, 12 from Rajouri, 21 from Kathua, 32 from Udhampur, 22 from Samba, 01 from Ramban, 13 from Doda, 41 from Poonch, 15 from Reasi and 01 from Kishtwar,” as per the Covid bulletin.
As per the daily information bulletin, 4,82,771 persons in the UT are under observation while 40,114 persons have been kept under home quarantine. Besides that, 11,009 persons are in isolation.
Apart from that, 3,81,727 persons have completed surveillance period and 49,120 persons are under home surveillance. So far, results of 10,88,652 samples are available out of which 10,44,082 tested negative while 44,570 tested positive. Among positive cases, 11,009 are active and 32,760 persons have recovered.
