New Delhi (NVI): The total number of coronavirus cases in India crossed 61 lakh-mark today and reached 61,45,292, with another huge surge of 70,589 positive cases in the last 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry data.

The country’s death toll has gone up to 96,318 after 776 new fatalities were reported in the country during this period.

In terms of total number of cases, Maharashtra continues to be the worst affected state with 13,5113 coronavirus cases followed by Andhra Pradesh with 6,81,161 cases, Tamil Nadu with 5,86,397 positive cases.
