New Delhi (NVI): US Deputy Secretary of State Stephen E Biegun will travel to India from October 12-14. His engagements in New Delhi will focus on advancing the US-India Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership and how the US and India can work together to advance peace, prosperity, and security in the Indo-Pacific and around the globe.
In New Delhi, the Deputy Secretary will meet with senior government officials and deliver keynote remarks at the India-US Forum, the US Department of State said in a statement.
Beigun’s engagements will build on Secretary Pompeo’s October 6 meeting with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and the upcoming US-India 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue later this year, the statement said.
From October 14-16, Deputy Secretary Biegun will visit Dhaka, Bangladesh to meet with senior government officials and reaffirm the United States-Bangladesh partnership.
Beigun will also travel to Bangladesh from October 14-16 the US Department of State said in an official statement.
The Deputy Secretary’s engagements in Bangladesh will focus on advancing the US and Dhaka’s common vision of a free, open, inclusive, peaceful, and secure Indo-Pacific region with shared prosperity for all; US-Bangladesh cooperation on COVID-19 response and recovery efforts; and sustainable economic development, the US department said.
