J&K Bar Association issued 3 notices over its constitution

Srinagar (NVI): Jammu and Kashmir administration has sought explanation from Kashmir Bar Association over its constitution which states J&K as disputed area, while issuing three notices in this regard.

Moreover, the J&K administration has also prohibited Kashmir Bar Association from holding any elections till issue on terming Kashmir as disputed is addressed, according to officials.

In addition to this, the bar has also been asked to submit a certificate issued by the competent authority, its Article of Association, its registered office, executive body and validity of registration among other details.

The notices were issued by Srinagar District Magistrate Shahid Iqbal Choudhury to the president of the bar association. Apart from that, the district magistrate also imposed prohibitory orders in the premises of the district court complex in Srinagar.
