Hunger strike by farmer leaders tmrw

New Delhi (NVI): The heads of all farmer unions protesting against the new agri reform laws by the Centre will observe a one-day hunger strike tomorrow from 8 am to 5 pm.

The hunger strike call has been given by farmer leaders to intensify their agitation from December 14. While addressing media at Singhu border, farmer leader Gurnam Singh Chaduni said the leaders will observe the hunger strike at their respective places.

Apart from that, Chaduni told media that dharnas will be staged at all district headquarters across the country.

Earlier today, Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Som Prakash met Home Minister Amit Shah.

In another development, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that he will also be holding a one-day fast in support of the protesting farmers. He also urged all AAP workers and supporters to observe the fast in solidarity with the protesting farmers.

Farmer leaders from Punjab, Haryana, UP and some other states have been protesting for over two weeks now and staging sit-ins at Delhi border areas.
