CRPF jawan injured in Central Kashmir’s grenade attack succumbs

Ganderbal (NVI): One of the three CRPF troopers injured in yesterday’s grenade attack in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal succumbed to his injuries today.

“The grenade was lobbed at CRPF Bunker 115 Bn G-coy deployed at Tawheed Chowk in Ganderbal yesterday. Three troopers sustained injuries in the attack,” they said.

They have been identified as Assistant Sub Inspector Netrapal Singh, Constable Anand Mal, Constable Chitranjan Chotia and Head Constable Suliman.

Hospital sources said that one of the troopers identified as Chitranjan Chotia succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

A police official, while confirming the death of the CRPF jawan, said that an FIR stands registered in this regard.
