New Delhi (NVI): Islamic State Chief Abu Bakr-al Baghdadi was killed in a raid by United States special forces in Syria on October 27, which was confirmed by US President Donald Trump.

“Last night, the United States brought the world’s number one terrorist leader to justice. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead,” Trump announced at the White House adding, “He died like a “dog”, He died like a “coward”. The world is now a much safer place.”

Stating last night as a great night for America and world, Trump said, “A brutal killer has violently eliminated. He will never again harm another innocent man, woman, or child.”

Describing ISIS most ruthless and violent terror organisation anywhere in the world, Trump informed that, “Baghdadi was the founder and leader of ISIS. The United States has been searching for him for many years.”

“Baghdadi’s demise demonstrates our commitment to the enduring and total defeat of ISIS and other terrorist organizations, he added.

“Capturing or killing Baghdadi has been re-top national security priority of my administration,” he said adding, “Terrorists who oppress and murder innocent people should never sleep soundly, knowing that we will completely destroy them.”

Thanking the service members, military leaders, and agency officials who were critical to the success of this mission, Trump said, “I want to thank the soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines involved in the last night’s operation. You are the very best.”

He also informed that no personnel were lost in the operation, whereas the large number of Baghdadi’s fighters and companions were killed with him.
