New Delhi (NVI): Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ today announced that the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Advanced will be conducted on July 3, 2021.
The exam is required for admissions into premier institutions such as the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Addressing a brief press conference, Pokhriyal said, “JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be held on July 3, and that it will be conducted by the IIT Kharagpur.”
“I wish all the students the very best, all candidates have enough time to prepare for the exam,” he added.
The Minister further said that the eligibility criteria of scoring 75 per cent minimum marks in Class 12 boards exams to write the JEE-Advanced has been reduced this time, as requested by students.
“Since we have not been able to completely emerge from the coronavirus pandemic, it has been decided that the 75 per cent marks criterion has been removed this year,” he added.
Last month, Pokhriyal had announced that JEE Main will be held four times this year—in February, March, April, and May, starting with the first cycle from February 23 to February 26.
