New Delhi (NVI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah today met the police personnel injured in the violence during the farmer’s tractor rally in Delhi on Republic Day.
Shah visited Tirath Ram Shah Hospital and Sushruta Trauma Centre, Civil Lines in the national capital where he interacted with the injured police personnel and took stock of their health progress from the doctors.
The Minister was accompanied by Delhi Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava.
Taking to Twitter, Shah in Hindi wrote,” Today met the brave policemen of Delhi Police in the hospital and wished them a speedy recovery. The whole country is proud of the example of bravery and restraint in the violence that took place on Republic Day.”

These police personnel were injured in the clashes that erupted during the tractor rally of the farmers who have been protesting against 3 farm laws on January 26 (Republic Day).
Nearly 400 personnel were injured after being attacked by protestors in the rally, according to the media reports.
Meanwhile, more than 25 criminal cases have been registered, 19 accused have been arrested and as many as 50 protesters detained.
