New Delhi (NVI): Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) it set to launch Amazonia-1 satellite of Brazil along with 18 co-passenger satellites onboard PSLVC51 from its first launch pad in Sriharikota on February 28.
Amazonia-1 will be the first earth observation satellite, developed and designed by Brazil to be launched from India, according to the space agency.
In a tweet, ISRO said that, “We are two days away from the launch of Amazonia-1 and 18 co-passenger satellites onboard PSLVC51. Amazonia1 will be the first Brazilian Satellite to be launched from India.”

On Thursday, the space agency completed the launch rehearsal of the PSLV-C51 mission.
This will be the 53rd mission of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C51), ISRO’s workhorse.
“The launch of Amazonia-1 and 18 Co-passenger satellites is scheduled at 1024 hrs IST on February 28, from first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota,” ISRO earlier said in a statement.
In view of the strict COVID-19 pandemic various norms in place at the launch centre, gathering of media personnel is not planned at SDSC SHAR and viewing gallery will also be closed.
The live telecast of the launch will be available on ISRO website, Youtube, Facebook and Twitter channels, the space agency said.
