New Delhi (NVI): India will commemorate ‘Chabahar Day’ tomorrow on the margins of Maritime India Summit, which will be attended by the ministers from Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia and Armenia, the Ministry of External Affairs said today.
The virtual event is part of the Maritime India Summit-2021, which is being held from March 2 to 4 across the country.
“Ministers from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Republic of Armenia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan will participate in the event” the External Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
During the event, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, will address the ministerial level opening session, it said.
On the other hand, Minister of State for the Ministry of Shipping Mansukh Mandaviya will also deliver the keynote address on the occasion.
The ministerial level opening session further will be followed by two webinar sessions, which includes ‘Development of Port Infrastructure: Unleashing Opportunities’ and ‘Boosting Business through Trade Promotion and Regional Connectivity’, the MEA added.
