Batla House: Court holds Ariz Khan guilty

New Delhi (NVI): A Delhi court today held Ariz Khan guilty of killing a Delhi Police inspector in the 2008 Batla House encounter case.

Ariz Khan has been convicted of killing Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma, along with his accomplices during the Batla House encounter in September 2008.

The Special Cell of Delhi Police had arrested Khan in February 2018. He was on the run for 10 years.

Ariz Khan, an Indian Mujahideen terrorist, is also an accused in 2008 blasts. His sentencing has been scheduled for March 15 (Monday).

In the blasts that took place in Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Delhi, at least 165 people lost their lives while over 500 were injured.
