2 LeT militant associates held in J&K’s Budgam, incriminating material recovered

Srinagar (NVI): Security forces have arrested two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant associates in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district, police said today.

Incriminating material has also been recovered from their possession.

According to an official statement, Budgam Police along with 53 RR and 43 Bn CRPF arrested two militant associates, of outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, involved in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the militants in Hyderpora/ Humhama areas of Budgam.

A case stands registered against the said Over Ground Workers (OGWs) at Budgam Police Station under relevant sections of law, the statement further read.

The militant associates have been identified as Aquib Ahmad Wani, son of Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, resident of Laloo Sheshgari Hyderpora and Aadil Manzoor Mir, son of Manzoor Ahmad Mir, resident of Nadirgund Humhama.

Reportedly, they have been in touch with Pakistan militant commanders through various social media platforms.
