India is in strategic partnership with UAE, says Govt

New Delhi (NVI): Terming the relations between UAE and India at their best, India has said that the two countries not only share a special bond but also a ‘comprehensive strategic partnership.’

Addressing a session on growing economic ties with UAE at the first day of the Global Investors’ Meet 2019, in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh Thakur on Thursday said, “UAE is the third largest partner with 60 billion USD bilateral trade in 2018-19 and is the fourth largest exporter of crude oil for India. The relations are at their best and we consider UAE our brothers”.

Now it is time that the relation between the two countries is enhance further through investments in Himachal Pradesh, the Minister said.

The minister informed that there were many tasks force and joint working groups and ministerial groups between India and UAE working on investment, trade and skills, an official statement said.

“I am confident that we will galvanise the strength of our 3.3 million workforce in bringing our nations together,” he said.

He said that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiatives of introducing the new investment policy which made India an ‘Investor’s heaven.
