Amritsar (NVI): Ahead of the inauguration of the the passenger terminal building and flagging off of the first Jatha of devotees to Kartarpur today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi payed obeisance at Gurdwara Ber Sahib in Sultanpur Lodhi.

Thousands of Sikh pilgrims from across the world are eagerly waiting for today’s historic opening of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor to visit Gurdwara Darbar Sahib after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Imran Khan separately inaugurate the cross-border pathway in their respective countries.

The PM reached Amritsar airport this morning and paid obeisance at historic Ber Sahib Gurdwara, before heading for Dera Baba Nanak where he will inaugurate the passenger terminal building of the Kartarpur Corridor.

He will flag off the first batch of over 500 Indian pilgrims that will travel to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib in Narowal district of Pakistan’s Punjab province through the Kartarpur corridor.

Imran Khan will inaugurate the corridor on the Pakistani side and receive the Indian Sikh pilgrims including former PM Manmohan Singh.
