New Delhi (NVI): The National Eligibility-Cum-Entrance Test (NEET), which was scheduled to be held on April 18, has been postponed in the backdrop of increase in COVID-19 cases in the country, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said today.
“In light of the surge in COVID19 cases, GoI has decided to postpone NEET PG 2021 exam which was earlier scheduled to be held on Apr 18. Next date to be decided later,” Vardhan tweeted.
“Decision has been taken keeping wellbeing of our young medical students in mind,” he added.
With 2,00,739 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the country’s total number of cases now stands at 1,40,74,564, including 14,71,877 active cases.
