New Delhi (NVI): India’s postal department and customs authorities have jointly started a helpline to facilitate speedy delivery of COVID related emergency shipments.
The Department of Posts under Ministry of Communications and Information Technology today issued a public notice in this regard.
As per the notice, the people who are expecting to receive or want to track any of the shipment can send the details of their shipment to the provided email addresses and contact numbers of the nodal officers.
“In order to further facilitate the clearances and faster delivery of such shipments, esteemed customers of the Department of Posts and members of the public who are expecting to receive and seeking tracking information of the shipment sent through Post from abroad can send the details of their consignment with name, mobile no. e-mail ID, tracking ID, date of posting and delivery address on the given e-mail address —“[email protected] or [email protected]”,” the order stated.
They can also send the details through WhatsApp to the mentioned contact numbers of Nodal Officers—Arvind Kumar – 9868378497 and Puneet Kumar – 9536623331, it added.
