New Delhi (NVI): The air quality in the National Capital on Wednesday slipped to the “Severe” category, with people not getting any respite for the next two days that is till Friday, System for Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR) said.
According to SAFAR, the Air Quality Index is likely to deteriorate further to “Very Severe” category by tomorrow. However, the condition may slightly improve by Friday.
The sky is likely to remain partly cloudy for the next two days under the influence of approaching western disturbance but no rain is expected, SAFAR said.
According to SAFAR, the worst affected areas of Delhi are Lodhi Road with an AQI of 464, IGI Airport it is 537, in IIT Delhi the air quality is 495, Mathura Road is 535, the air quality in Delhi University is 495 and Pusa it is 475.
Noida has recorded an AQI of 573 which is also in the “Severe” category.
