Srinagar: Terrorists of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) today attacked a security party in Sopore district of Kashmir, killing two civilians and two policemen and injuring 5 others, including four police personnel.
Giving these details, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir) Vijay Kumar said the attack was carried out by two local terrorists of LeT and they have been identified.
The terrorists showered bullets at a police party during patrolling at a chowk in Sopore, police officials said.
The terrorists fled from the scene after the attack.
They said that all the injured were shifted to sub-district Sopore for treatment where two cops and two civilians were declared dead on arrival.
Security forces have launched a hunt for the terrorists.
