COVID-19 threatens people with heart diseases, as winter hints at a second wave

New Delhi: India recorded 29,689 fresh COVID-19 cases and 415 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this increase, the total number of active coronavirus cases in the country has gone up to 3,98,100 while the cumulative death toll has reached 4,21,382.

Nearly 42,363 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,06,21,469, the Health Ministry said.

A total of 44,19,12,395 covid vaccine doses have been administered across the country so far.

Yesterday, the country recorded 39,361 COVID-19 cases and 416 deaths in 24 hours.

On Sunday, the country recorded 39,742 COVID-19 cases and 535 deaths in 24 hours.

On Saturday last, the country recorded 39,097 COVID-19 cases and 546 deaths in 24 hours.

On Friday last, the country recorded 35,342 COVID-19 cases and 483 deaths in 24 hours.

On Thursday, the country recorded 41,383 COVID-19 cases and 507 deaths in 24 hours.

On Wednesday, the country recorded 42,015 COVID19 cases and 3,998 fatalities in 24 hours.
