New Delhi: At least 44,658 new COVID-19 cases and 496 deaths were registered in India in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active corona cases now are 3,44,899 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,36,861.
The number of fresh cases reported today is less than the figure reported yesterday, when the figure was 46,164.
The death figure reported yesterday was 607.
On Wednesday, the country reported 37,593 fresh Covid cases and 648 deaths in 24 hours.
The country on Tuesday reported 25,467 new COVID-19 cases and 354 deaths in 24 hours.
On Monday, the country recorded 25,072 Covid cases, the lowest in 160 days and 375 deaths in 24 hours.
The country reported 30,948 COVID-19 cases and 403 deaths in 24 hours on Sunday.
On Saturday last, the country reported 34,457 fresh COVID-19 cases and 375 deaths in 24 hours.
