India records 45,352 new COVID19 cases, 366 deaths

New Delhi: India recorded 45,352 fresh COVID-19 cases and 366 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.

With this increase, the total active cases now are 3,99,778 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,39,895, the ministry said.

Nearly 34,791 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,20,63,616.

The country’s recovery rate currently is now at 97.45%, the Health Ministry said.

The number of fresh cases reported today is less than the figure reported yesterday, when the figure was 47,092.

The death figure reported yesterday was 509.

On Wednesday, the country recorded 41,965 COVID-19 cases and 460 deaths in 24 hours

Nearly 30,941 Covid cases and 350 deaths were reported from across the country in 24 hours, a day earlier.

The country on Monday reported 42,909 COVID-19 cases and 380 deaths in 24 hours.

On Sunday, the country recorded 45,083 fresh COVID-19 cases and 460 deaths in 24 hours.

At least 46,759 COVID-19 new cases and 509 deaths in the country in 24 hours were reported last Saturday.
