New Delhi: India recorded 29,616 fresh COVID-19 cases and 290 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 3,01,442 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,46,658, it said.
Nearly 28,046 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,28,76,319.
The country’s recovery is currently at 97.78%, the Ministry said.
A total of 84,89,29,160 COVID vaccine doses administered across the country so far with inoculation of 71,04,051 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours.
Yesterday, the country recorded 31,382 fresh COVID-19 cases and 318 deaths in 24 hours.
At least, 31,923 fresh Covid cases and 282 deaths were reported from across the country on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the country recorded 26,964 fresh COVID-19 cases and 383 deaths in 24 hours.
The previous day report said 26,115 COVID-19 cases and 252 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
Nearly 30,256 fresh COVID-19 cases and 295 deaths were reported across the country, a day earlier.
On Sunday, the country recorded 30,773 fresh COVID-19 cases and 309 deaths in 24 hours.
