New Delhi: India recorded 28,326 fresh COVID-19 cases and 260 deaths in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this increase, the total active cases now are 3,03,476 while the cumulative death toll has gone up to 4,46,918, it said.
Nearly 26,032 patients have recovered in the last 24 hrs, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,29,02,351.
A total of 85,60,81,527 COVID vaccine doses administered across the country so far with inoculation of 68,42,786 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, the Ministry said.
The number of fresh cases reported today is less than the figure reported yesterday, when the figure was 29,616.
The death figure reported yesterday was 290.
On Friday, the country recorded 31,382 fresh COVID-19 cases and 318 deaths in 24 hours.
At least, 31,923 fresh Covid cases and 282 deaths were reported from across the country on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the country recorded 26,964 fresh COVID-19 cases and 383 deaths in 24 hours.
The previous day report said 26,115 COVID-19 cases and 252 deaths were registered in 24 hours.
Nearly 30,256 fresh COVID-19 cases and 295 deaths were reported across the country, a day earlier.
