New Delhi: The deaths in India due to Covid again witnessed an increase, with 805 fatalities being registered during the last 24 hours.
Yesterday, the country reported 733 deaths during the previous 24 hours, which was higher than 585 the preceding day, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
Accordingly, the cumulative death toll in the country due to Coronavirus has gone up to 4,57,191.
During the last 24 hours, the country registered 14,348 fresh Covid cases, it said.
The number of active cases stood at 1,61,334.
Yesterday, the government reported 16,156 fresh Covid cases recorded in 24 hours.
On Wednesday, the country reported 13,451 fresh Covid cases in a span of 24 hours.
Nearly 12,428 Covid infections and 356 deaths were reported on Tuesday.
A day prior to that, 14,306 fresh COVID-19 cases and 443 fatalities were reported in 24 hours.
The country recorded 15,906 Covid cases and 561 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.
The single-day figure reported last Saturday was 16,326 along with 666 deaths in a span of 24 hours.
