New Delhi: Omicron cases in India have increased to 236 while the overall Covid figure in the country was reported to be 7,495 during the last 24 hours along with 434 deaths.
According to the Health Ministry, Maharashtra recorded the highest number of Omicron cases followed by Delhi.
The total number of Omicron cases in Maharashtra has risen to 65 and Delhi to 64.

The cumulative death toll across the country has reached 4,78,759, the ministry said.
Around 6,960 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,42,08,926.
The vaccination figure has reached 1,39,69,76,774 across the country with inoculating 70,17,671 beneficiaries in the last 24 hours, it said.
Yesterday, the country reported 6,317 Covid cases and 318 deaths in 24 hours.
During the previous 24 hours, the country reported 5,326 fresh Covid cases and 453 deaths.
The country reported 6,563 fresh Covid cases and 132 fatalities in 24 hours, a day earlier.
A day prior to that, the country reported 7,081 fresh Covid cases and 264 fatalities in 24 hours.
