India records dip in fresh Covid cases

New Delhi: India saw a drop in single day Covid numbers, with 2,58,089 cases being registered in the last 24 hours, 13,113 less than the previous day’s figure.
According to the Health Ministry data released today, the country also recorded 385 deaths during the last 24 hours.
The active cases stood at 16,56,341, with the daily positivity rate being 119.65%.
The number of Omicron cases rose to 8,209 from 7,743 recorded a day earlier.
Yesterday morning, the government said the single day Covid cases registered in the country during the preceding 24 hours were 2,71,202, along with 314 deaths.

On Saturday morning, the government reported 2,68,833 fresh COVID cases registered in India in the previous 24 hours along with 402 deaths.

A day earlier, the government reported registration of 2,64,202 fresh Covid cases and 315 fatalities in a span of 24 hours.

 

On Thursday, the government said 2,47,417 fresh Covid cases and 380 fatalities were reported from the country in 24 hours.

Nearly 1,94,720 fresh cases and 442 deaths were reported on Wednesday.

A day prior to that, 1,68,063 fresh Covid cases and 277 deaths were reported across the country.

On last Monday morning, the government said 1,79,723 new COVID cases and 146 deaths were registered across the country during the preceding 24 hours.
