New Delhi: India registered 11,499 fresh Covid cases and 255 fatalities in the last 24 hours, the Union Health Ministry said today.
With this, the cumulative death toll due to the Covid pandemic has reached 5,13,481.
The active cases stood at 1,21,881 and the daily positivity rate is at 0.28%.
Nearly 23,598 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,22,70,482, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country registered 13,166 new cases in 24 hours.
A day earlier, the government reported 14,148 fresh Covid cases and 302 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Wednesday morning, the country registered 15,102 fresh Covid cases and 278 fatalities in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the country registered 13,405 new Covid cases in 24 hours.
