New Delhi: India has witnessed a significant drop in single day covid numbers, with 8,013 new Covid cases were being registered in the last 24 hours.
The fatalities due to the pandemic climbed to 5,13,843 with 119 more deaths, according to Union Health Ministry.
The active cases stood at 1,02,601 and the daily positivity rate is at 0.24%.
Nearly 16,765 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative recoveries to 4,23,07,686, the Ministry said.
Yesterday, the country registered 10,273 fresh Covid cases and 243 fatalities in 24 hours.
A day earlier, the government reported 11,499 fresh Covid cases and 255 fatalities in 24 hours.
On Friday morning, the country registered 13,166 new cases in 24 hours.
A day prior to that, the government reported 14,148 fresh Covid cases and 302 fatalities in 24 hours.
