Srinagar: In a major success, security forces overnight killed 4 terrorists, including a Pakistani, in 3 simultaneous encounters at 3 different places in Kashmir.
One terrorist was caught alive, police said this morning.
“We had launched joint operations at 4-5 locations last night,” Inspector General of Police (Kashmir Zone) Vijay Kumar said about the operations.
He said 2 terrorists of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit, including a Pakistani, were killed in the encounter in Pulwama district.
One terrorist each of another Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was killed in encounters in Ganderbal & Handwara, Kumar said.
The encounters in Handwara & Pulwama are over.
